A quick stop in Umbria en route to Rome.
We just needed to pick up a few things! 🍷 🫒
🚌 Wine-tasting lunch at Marco’s agriturismo
When we arrived, everyone gave our chauffeur, Ricardo, a massive round of applause for so skillfully navigating the winding mountain roads.
We were greeted by a friendly herd of prize-winning hunting dogs!!!
This breed is bred to hunt wild boar, which we got to sample later 🐖
Sat down for a lovely wine and olive oil tasting 😍
We learned that the highest quality olive oils tingle in the back of your throat. 🚜 Halle loved hearing about harvesting/growing in Italy!
An Evening in Rome
We checked into the hotel and hit the streets for an orientation walk and a group dinner. 🍝
We also learned how to use the Metro with training wheels. Grazie mille, Colleen, for making sure we all made it! (Shoutout to Barb!!! 😂)
🌙 Lovely night time stroll through Rome’s historic center, glimpsed the Vatican right after the new Pope had been appointed! Passed many talented buskers on the Ponte Sant'Angelo.

🏙️ Morning walking tour, where we explored the Jewish Ghetto and crossed the Ponte Fabricio
☠️ Afternoon tour of the Capuchin Crypts, which Bethany & Michelle toured 10 years ago and had to show Halle & Kathryn.
✊ Accidentally joined a protest (we got trapped by police barricades until they realized we had no idea what was happening)
❤️ Halle & Bethany ate dinner at Saltimbocca ristorante, where they met a friendly clown/street performer
🍷 Moms ate dinner at Ai Tre Scalini
We "ruined" our last day 🏛️
With a tour of Rome's ancient monuments

We also toured St. Peter-in-Chains Church ⛪ home to Michelangelo's Moses

Rome was very sad to see us go 😭
On the walk back from our farewell dinner, there was a totally random downpour! Nobody was prepared, not even Colleen.
The rainy streets were all shiny and beautiful at night!
Our last moments together as a group were pure joy and chaos, a fitting end to our tour.
